Hey, Chromies! I apologize for any intrusion on a Wednesday since I normally send out the weekly newsletter on Sundays. Hopefully, you’ll understand why after I explain. On Monday, Google reached out to me and let me know that every new Chromebook Plus model is on sale all this week. It’s only at Best Buy, unfortunately. If I could simply share this news with the U.S. subscribers, I would. But I honestly don’t know where each of you is; I don’t collect any information from subscribers aside from each of your email addresses, and that’s just to send the newsletter.
Wishing good health for your wife and family.... But back to Chromebooks .. My Lenovo Flex5i upgraded to the latest 119 beta, and I'm noticing that the text on all my usual apps (including this one) is weird, as if it has lost its antialiiasing. Have you noticed anything like that? Version 119.0.6045.104 (Official Build) beta (64-bit).
Interesting. I'm running 119 Beta and 120 Dev on different devices and I have not seen any text rendering issues. Does it happen if you log out of your Chromebook and use it in Guest Mode? If so, it could be an extension that's acting up.
OK, very strange. I opened my Chromebook today, preparing to log out as you suggessted, but now I am NOT seeing the sketchy text rendering. Guess I should have taken a screen shot.
Forthose outside the US, if you know someone in the US that will buy a Chromebook for you, open the box and make it look used, then ship it to you, you can avoid the duty, sales tax & vat. I don't know if the cost of shipping will make it worthwhile.
Your emails are never bothersome, Kevin, and this is useful info! Thanks for keeping us informed...

Did your Spin 714 get the Plus features rolled out yet?
Yup, although I was already running 118 on the Beta Channel so I had them earlier than when most other people got them.
